Venture Fields Update

The Venture Fields development has been affected by the current economic situation as have most developments in the country.

However the Halton Borough Council continues to pursue funding from the North West Development Agency to assist with the development and there is considerable commercial interest in the scheme. Widnes Regeneration Ltd., the joint venture between Halton Borough Council and St. Modwen Developments Ltd., has registered interests in all of the units being made available, including the ice rink.

Currently there is no open date for the leisure development, but the Council will make appropriate announcements in the local press when work commences on site and a completion date can be confirmed.
