Extra time granted for Waterfront buisness grants

Time is running out for businesses located within Widnes Waterfront to apply for Business Improvement Area (BIA) grants, which are available from Halton Council.
Each grant, worth a maximum of £50,000, can be used for a range of external improvement projects.
These include:
• Hard and Soft landscaping
• Fencing
• Security Systems (CCTV, access control systems etc)
• Demolition of redundant buildings
• Cladding/re-cladding of existing buildings
• Any other works that will enhance and improve the external appearance of business premises
The grants have proven to be so popular that the timescale has been extended for applications.
All applications must now be received by Friday 14th September 2007.
