Access can only be gained on foot along the Trans Pennine Trail from Fiddlers Ferry to the east (2 miles) and Spike Island (1.3miles) and Carter House Bridge (0.3 miles) to the West.

By car - there are two options:-
1. Spike Island: Ample parking is available at Spike Island located 1.3 miles walk/cycle from the Future Flower site. Spike Island is an area of open space offering a visitors centre, children’s play area, picnic area and the Catalyst Science museum and provides an excellent base to walk along the TPT to the Future Flower. Spike Island can be access from Mersey Road, just off Waterloo Road, Widnes WA8 0DF. Once in Widnes, follow signs for Widnes South and then for the Catalyst Museum sign posted from the A568 (Watkinson Way) when travelling from the north/east or A533 when coming from the south/west.
On foot from Spike Island - From the car park cross over the canal and follow the footpath along the edge of the River Mersey. Continue along the footpath, following signs for the Trans Pennine Trail, ensuring the canal remains on your left hand side. This walk is an estimated 1.3 miles from the car park and provides stunning views across the River Mersey.
2. Tan House Lane: A small amount of on street parking is available on Tan House Lane, Widnes, WA8 0US 0.5 miles from the Future Flower location.
On foot from Tan House Lane - Walk to the bottom of Tan House Lane, cross over the railway tracks and Carter House Bridge over the Sankey Canal and turn left along the Trans Pennine Trail. Continue along the Trans Pennine Trail for 0.3 miles to reach the Flower.
By Bus
The number 13 serves the Widnes Waterfront area and stops on Tan House Lane. From the bus stop, follow the on foot from Tan House Lane directions above to take you down to Widnes Warth and along to the Future Flower.
If looking to travel by rail then the nearest railway station is Widnes Station, which is a 2.3 mile walk to the Future Flower site.
